certification solutions company today announced ongoing Corporate Social
Responsibility initiatives under the AppLabs Charitable Trust (ACT). ACT, the
philanthropic wing of AppLabs was started with a special focus on Education and
Health Care since 2006.

Recently in Scotland, AppLabs employees volunteered their time to build footpaths in
Selm Muir forest to help improve accessibility to the woodland site. The teams
worked with the Forestry Commission Scotland to make Selm Muir Forest more
accessible and enjoyable for local children with physical disabilities from
Cedarbank and Pinewoods Special Needs Schools, Livingston. The AppLabs US office
initiatives included 'Operation Christmas Stocking', wherein the employees extended
support to the US troops in the Middle East, by collecting useful items to send to
them for Christmas. The AppLabs Lindon office employees also regularly donate gifts
for families that are unable to afford them, as well collect canned food from the
employees to help fill up the local food bank.

Makarand Teje, President & COO, AppLabs said "We have chosen Education and
Healthcare as our two areas of focus and we are making a visible impact with
commitment of over 2000 global AppLabsees for these causes."

AppLabs works with four schools in Hyderabad, India - one government primary school
and 3 privately run schools under Sharada Vidya Niketan in the outskirts of
Hyderabad. The government primary school houses around 130 boys and girls from Class
I to Class 5; the other 3 private schools have around 200 students, most of them
orphans aged between 3 and 11. Activities in these schools include - donation of
uniforms, text books and stationary items. ACT members regularly visit the schools
on special occasions like festivals and national holidays, including Independence
Day and Children's day.

Mr. Arun Rao, Vice President, Human Resources, AppLabs further added that "Corporate
Social Responsibility at AppLabs involves employee participation at all levels.
AppLabs always has and will continue to support causes where we can see some
measurable results of our collective efforts. The sheer joy of giving back to the
society gives our employees immense satisfaction."

AppLabs is closely working with Nirmal Hriday, an NGO run by Mother Teresa
Charitable Trust which supports over 30 old age homes in the states of Andhra
Pradesh and Orissa, where it provides shelter to destitute patients suffering from
tuberculosis, diabetes, as well as HIV positive patients. AppLabs makes quarterly
donation of life saving medicines to the organization. Other initiatives include
holding quarterly blood donation camps, organized in association with the well known
Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust in Hyderabad. Over 300 employees support the cause at
every camp. ACT also regularly collaborates with premier hospital/healthcare
institutions like Wockhardt Hospitals, as well as supports organizations like Family
Services, a voluntary organization based out of Bangalore, which runs schools for
underprivileged and physically challenged children.

The AppLabs Charitable Trust also regularly organizes voluntary donation camps
called 'SAMARPAN', to collect old clothes, books, household and stationary items,
and the proceeds of which are distributed to old age homes, schools for the mentally
